Rolled loop to hut and lippos loop to create a base for this evening’s snow. Snowed all night and morning very light snow that packed to create a thin base its skiable but bring your older skis. Regardless it’s beautiful out there.

Going too be a lot melting next few days but will see if we get enough snow Friday too do some grooming. Forcast right now isnt promising for the next week.

Great day for backcountry skiing. 12° on LM, and no wind. We still can't machine groom, but tracks are being 'skied in' by the hearty individuals braving the cold and wonderful sunshine.

Our agreement with DCNR for grooming at Laurel Mountain ended on March 31 and the new agreement is still in the works. Unexpectedly, DCNR recently changed their requirements to include a COI and we are currently researching new insurance options. We expect that the new insurance will be very expensive, substantially more than we have paid in the past. We cannot do any trail grooming until the new agreement is in place.

First post from Laurel Mt. for the season. If you really have to ski, go for it. However, you'll have to dodge a lot of rocks. The bigger issue is sinking through and getting moisture. The ground needs to freeze up more, and we'd have to receive 6-8" of snow. I won't ski again until we get snow.
